Matthew P. Donelson was born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in Pennsville, New Jersey. He graduated from Drew University in 1996 with a History major, and a minor in Political Science. He continued his education at Villanova University School of Law where he graduated with a J.D. degree in 1999. Matt was admitted to the bars of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey in 1999, as well as the bars of the District Court of New Jersey and the District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. In 2002, Matt was admitted to the bar of the State of Delaware and the District Court of Delaware. In 2015, Matt was admitted to the bar of the State of New York.
Matt began his legal career as an Assistant Prosecutor in the Salem County Prosecutor’s Office in Salem, New Jersey. While an Assistant Prosecutor, Matt prosecuted numerous bench and jury trials to verdict. Prior to joining Kent & McBride, Matt was a partner in a mid-size regional firm. For nearly 20 years, Matt has represented a variety of Fortune 500 companies and has tried, mediated and arbitrated countless number of cases in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
In addition to litigating cases in various state and federal courts, Matt has also been a speaker on multiple asbestos and employment law panels.
