Laura was raised in Michigan. She attended Boston University, where she was a member of the Kilachand Honors College and graduated cum laude with a B.A. in International Relations. Following graduation, Laura spent four years working in immigration services, advising newly admitted graduate students on traveling to the U.S., navigating the visa application process, and obtaining legal work authorization.
She then moved to Philadelphia to attend Temple University’s Beasley School of Law. During law school, she served as a Staff Editor and Research Editor for the Temple International and Comparative Law Journal. She was also a student advocate in Temple’s Social Justice Clinic, representing low-income clients in employment-related wage and hour disputes. Laura currently lives in Philadelphia, where she enjoys studying Mandarin Chinese and working out in her free time.
