Jay was born in Philadelphia, PA, and presently resides in Bucks County, PA with his wife and three children. He is admitted to the Bars of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as to the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania as well as the District of New Jersey.
In addition to an active practice litigating for and advising small-medium sized local and regional corporations, as well as for regional and national insurance companies, large self-insured entities, and various school districts, he has lectured extensively on the subjects of Employment Law, Risk Management, Property Loss, Bad Faith Litigation, Mediation and ADR, Insurance Fraud, Motor Vehicle Insurance, Commercial Premises Liability, Contractual Indemnity, Healthcare Insurance Reform and General Corporate Issues at the request of the National Business Institute, ExecSense, the Delaware Valley chapter of the IASIU, the Property Loss Research Bureau, the German American Chamber of Commerce, the British American Chamber of Commerce, and several of the firm’s clients. Jay also sits frequently as a Judge Pro Tem in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas mediating Major Jury matters pending in that court, and has been regularly appointed as Defense and Neutral Arbitrator for private, binding arbitration proceedings.
