Like so many of us here in the great garden state, I grew up in Brooklyn, New York and later migrated to Staten Island, New York, where I lived until becoming a New Jersey resident in 2004.
I attended Long Island University where I earned a place on the Dean’s List for 1982-83 and graduated with a BA in Criminal Justice in 1984. I attended St. Johns School of Law where I graduated with a JD in 1987.
I was admitted to the Bars of the states of New York and New Jersey, as well as the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, in 1987. I was admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York in 1988.
For more than two decades I operated a general civil practice where I worked primarily on plaintiff personal injury cases in New York and New Jersey. However, I also worked regularly in the areas of real estate, wills and estates and business formation and general civil litigation. I have also worked for outside defense counsel as well as “in house” for AIG and handled PIP arbitrations for medical providers.
This wealth of experience, in varied areas of practice, affords me a perspective that provides a pragmatic and comprehensive understanding of the respective needs of both our clients and claims personnel.
I also served as attorney coach for high school mock trial and led the Tottenville High School team to multiple NYC Championships and a first ever NYS Championship in 2009.
