David Semple has devoted his nearly 30-year legal career to litigating a wide array of insurance defense matters throughout New Jersey, principally in the areas of transportation, premises liability, construction site accidents, product liability, hospitality law and construction defect. David has been retained by numerous commercial companies, retail chains, hotel groups, property owners, custodial/janitorial companies and insurance companies to defend complex high-exposure lawsuits.
David prides himself on identifying and pursuing innovative approaches to the defense of his clients. He has secured numerous dismissals via summary judgment and has argued in the state and federal appellate divisions on multiple occasions. David has also achieved several defense verdicts at the trial level.
Prior to entering law school, David interned for the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia and for the Honorable David Gray Ross of the Seventh Judicial Circuit Court of Maryland. During law school, David was an intern for the Honorable Dennis M. Cavanaugh, United States District Court of New Jersey.
